Description

Block Printing is one of the oldest forms of printmaking. Block printing, relief printing and stamping are all based on the same concept…ink is applied to a carved material and then pressed onto paper or fabric. In this workshop you’ll learn the essentials of printing repeat patterns on fabric. We’ll examine the way block printing, with small blocks, can be used to create larger patterns. You’ll also learn the different ways that repeat patterns are structured and with a little practice you’ll be able to fill your fabric stash with original designs.
