2021 Contest Information
Quilt submissions: Contest entries for quilts finished after February 1, 2019 will be accepted online starting February 1, 2021. Mark your calendar!
Due to COVID-19 and the cancellation of the 2020 in-person Vermont Quilt Festival, quilts completed after February 1, 2019 will be accepted for the 2021 contest. Entries entered into the 2020 show will be eligible for re-entry for 2021, when registration opens on February 1, 2021.
The Theme for 2021 is Common Threads. A special award will be given to the quilt that best expresses this theme. Participation is voluntary and open to all contest entrants, but is not a requirement for entering.
New for 2021: Quilt entries should be finished upon entering and there is no maximum quilt size for entries. In lieu of mailing in or delivering entries, quilts will be judged and displayed via photographs outlined in the contest information below. If submitting more than one quilt entry, each entry will have its own transaction. We are here to help! Any questions on this new process, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org
Hello from the VQF Contest Chair
We are very excited for this new venture into the virtual quilt contest world and would like to encourage you to participate! The entry process is essentially the same as it’s always been with one exception; you do not have to drop off or ship your quilt. You will submit photos instead, which our team of judges will use to judge your quilt. Your quilt will be shown on our website during the quilt show along with your information and description of your quilt.
We look forward to viewing your quilt photos and to the entire virtual show!
