Product Description
Cardinals have stuffing beneath for shaping, and double-layered wings, hinged at the shoulder for dimension. Hand-dyed wool thread is used throughout and is accented in the variegated pine needles. Snowflakes stitched from metallic thread, can be substituted in place of the mistletoe for a more “winter” mat. Lessons include using freezer paper for patterns, stitching “flat to the table” with no fusibles, and embroidery stitches (blanket stitch, back stitch, stem stitch). A great introductory class for dimensional wool applique!
