Please be prepared for class. Bring all listed supplies for each of your classes. If supplies are not listed, none are needed. Remember to ask the instructor's permission before photographing or taping a class or class project. We also ask that you turn the sound off on your cell phones or pagers before the class.

Similar to “Creative Embroidery.”  In addition, we’ll learn techniques such as making 3-D reed leaves, a dragon fly, a spider, and more if there is time.  Students will create an original mini-quilt.  Tips and techniques; design and stretching; machine sewing and hand sewing.  Supply List:  1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 11, 12, 15, 18, 20.

An ancient Japanese art, Shibori goes far beyond tie-dye techniques.  Try elegant patterns found in imperial kimonos.  Basic techniques:  binding, pleating, knotting, stitching, clamping and pole-wrapping are easy to learn and endlessly variable.  More info on website.
