The Vermont Quilt Festival runs on the efforts of its volunteers. Putting on a show of this size and complexity would be impossible without the help of several hundred people. With two locations and added work, our need for workers is especially great. Your assistance for a minimum of four hours in one or more of the dozens of Festival jobs will earn you priority registration for classes in 2009. Any amount of volunteer time is needed and appreciated even if it is less than four hours.

If you are interested in volunteering or need more info, please call the VQF office at (603) 444-7500, e-mail us at vqfvolunteer@hotmail.com, or write us at VQF, P.O. Box 797, St. Johnsbury, Vermont 05819.

What are the pink forms we refer to? We give every volunteer who put in a minimum of four volunteer hours at the previous Festival a priority form.  This form enables that volunteer to register ahead of the general public for classes. It is our way of thanking the folks who help make VQF possible each year.

Please note!  When reading the volunteer job opportunities charts, find a job that interests you and look across the chart at the available times for that task.  If a block contains times, it means that there are jobs available for those times for the task across from it on the left. A gray block indicates that the specific job in that time block is completely filled. If the block is white and no times are listed, it means that there are no jobs in that category during that time. We will do our best to keep the jobs charts current, but because of the fluid nature of sign-ups, we might occasionally have a job listed that has just been assigned. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience that might cause. Finally, please remember that it takes FOUR hours of volunteering to earn priority registration. “
