Directions to Northfield

From the South: Leave I-89 at Exit 5 and take Route 64 to Route 12 north; the Norwich campus is about four miles from the exit. When you near the campus, follow the signs to the parking lot and take the free shuttle bus for the Show.

From the North: Leave 1-89 at Exit 8 in Montpelier and take Route 12 south; the distance is about 11 miles. Go through downtown Northfield and look for signs to the parking lot and shuttle.

Public Transportation: If you don't have a car, getting to Northfield may prove tricky. The closest major airport is Burlington, 50 miles away. There is no bus or limousine service between the airport and Northfield. Car rental agencies are located at the Burlington airport and in Montpelier. An Amtrak station is located in Montpelier.

Quilt guilds and tour groups are always welcome at the Festival. Discounts on admissions and other events are available to groups of ten or more. Advance registration and payment are required. The Festival is a featured entry in the American Bus Association’s Top 100 Events in North America in 2003. It is also one of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce’s Top Ten Summer Events for 2003.

Get Ready To Walk!

The Norwich campus is a formidable and hilly hike from one end to the other, even for those who have conquered mountains. If you are bringing a sewing machine or heavy luggage, we strongly advise you to bring along a folding luggage cart; it'll make your life a lot easier.
