Champagne and Chocolate Preview

Celebrate the opening of the 39th annual Vermont Quilt Festival! View the contest and special exhibit quilts, congratulate the winners, and shop at more than eighty vendor booths while enjoying champagne, ginger ale, and mouth-watering chocolates courtesy of some of Vermont's finest chocolatiers. Tickets are $12 at the door. Free admission for class registrants and contest entrants.
 
New Quilt Appraisals
FRIDAY, JUNE 26, 9AM-4PM
BLUE RIBBON PAVILION
Gerald Roy of Warner, NH, one of the founders of the American Quilter's Society Quilt Appraisal Program, offers appraisals of new quilts. Appraisals require 30 minutes per quilt, and owners receive a written appraisal form that may be used for insurance, sale or donation purposes. In addition, contest entrants may arrange to have their quilts appraised as the quilts hang in the exhibit. The fee is $65 per quilt.  
 
Antique Quilts Appraisals 
SATURDAY, JUNE 27, 9AM-5PM 
WARE BUILDING CONFERENCE ROOM
Since 1981, VQF has been offering appraisals of quilts made prior to 1960. With more than 1600 appraisals performed and nearly 120 years of combined experience, the appraisal team is qualified to tackle any challenge. For a $45 fee, owners will receive a written appraisal and a photograph. No appointments are necessary. Those wishing appraisals who are not attending the Festival may enter and leave the Ware Building conference room by its outside entrance.
 
The Textile Detectives are In
FRIDAY, JUNE 26, 2-4PM 
BLUE RIBBON PAVILION
Join the members of the Quiltsearch team for an exploration about quilts. Visitors are invited to bring one or two pre-1960 quilts for examination. Listen as Vermont's foremost antique quilt experts talk to the audience about the age, pattern and condition of each quilt. This is not about values; rather it's a quilt show and tell for everyone.
Free admission.

Over the past 38 years, the non-profit Vermont Quilt Festival has continued to be the setting for the highest quality education in the art of quilting, for exhibitions of fine quilts, for a shopping mall of over 85 vendors, and for the preservation of our quilting heritage.

VQF Boutique and Consignment
MILLER NORTH
Visit the VQF Boutique to purchase VQF apparel with logo, hand-thrown VQF mugs in several colors, large zippered totes, show pins and more. A wide variety of new and antique quilts and quilt-related items is sold on consignment. VQF accepts consignment items that are of interest to quilt lovers. Desirable items range from unique, handcrafted, finished products and notions to collectibles in great condition, and vintage sewing machines. 

Raffles
MILLER CENTRE LOBBY  
The Festival’s 2015 raffle quilt, Homage to Red and White, is designed and pieced by Judy Thomas.  Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5; the drawing will be held on Sunday, June 28. 
 
Vendor Demonstrations
BLUE RIBBON PAVILION
Pick up a new technique, learn how to use a new product, or get an introduction to something new courtesy of Festival vendors offering their time and talents. The schedule will be available at the show.

SewBatik Challenges
MILLER NORTH
2015  What do you find whimsical? The Challenge for next year, with its theme of Whimsy, offers entrants a chance to share their favorite whimsies in a small wall quilt. 

Photography at VQF
Quilt photos taken at the Festival are for your own personal enjoyment only. Photos may never be used for commercial purposes. Any photos posted to your personal website must include appropriate credit for each quilt artist, including where and when the photos were taken. Photos of special exhibits are allowed unless signs indicate otherwise. Please be responsible in your use of quilt photos and help us protect the rights of the quiltmakers and others. Please consult vendors before photographing their booths.

The Vermont Quilt Festival reserves the right to make necessary changes to events and schedules without prior notice. It regrets any inconvenience this may cause to its visitors. Please check the website or the daily schedules posted in the Miller Centre lobby.
