VERMONT QUILT FESTIVAL
40 and Fabulous
JUNE 24, 25, 26, 2016
CHAMPLAIN VALLEY EXPOSITION
105 PEARL ST
ESSEX JUNCTION, VERMONT
VQF celebrates its 40th anniversary Ruby Jubilee this June with hundreds of eye-popping quilts in several exhibits. As part of the celebration, the Festival is very proud to present "Life's Work: Ruth B. McDowell," the largest exhibit ever of Ruth's art quilts. Her quilts have been exhibited nationally and internationally and are represented in many public, private, and corporate art collections worldwide.
Other exhibits feature antique, contest, challenge, and contemporary quilts. The bustling merchants mall with its colorful array of products is a must for visitors. Throughout the weekend, free gallery talks, lectures, and appraisals offer insight into quilts and quilting techniques. Over seventy classes offer an even more comprehensive study with some of the nation's top instructors.
The show opens with the always-festive Champagne and Chocolate Preview on Thursday evening. Quilt appraisals, the Textile Detectives, and evening programs round out the events at New England's oldest and largest quilt event and a Vermont Chamber of Commerce Time Honored Top-Ten Event.
Save the dates and join us in June for our 40th!
