Vermont Quilt Festival 2023

Special Exhibits

A Message From The Exhibit Chair:

This is my first year as a board member for the Vermont Quilt Festival, and I’m eager for you to experience this year’s Special Exhibits. Our Antique Exhibit “A Slice of Cheddar” is part of the extraordinary historically important collection from Pat and Arlan Christ of Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. The Individual Artist Exhibit is from Roz Daniels titled “Bold Abstractions” — from her lifetime of work. We have several exhibits from Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) to provide a look at quilting from a Modern Artists’ Perspective. As a frequent visitor to — and having quilts included in festivals across the country —I’m enthusiastic to be a part of VQF, which is in my home state. Everyone’s in for a real treat.

The “Slice of Cheddar” exhibit affords the opportunity to showcase some of the bold and colorful quilts from the late nineteenth century.    The color “cheddar” will delight everyone that observes the variations quilters used in their quilt designs.
