Coming in 2009 – A Juried Exhibit:

The Lake We Share:  Lake Champlain in History and Imagination

Start working on your entries now!

The 400th anniversary of the discovery of Lake Champlain by Samuel de Champlain, its European namesake, will occur in 2009.  The State of Vermont has established a Quadricentennial Commission to observe the anniversary, and numerous activities are planned in the next two years. (For details, see www.celebratechamplain.org.)

To mark the occasion, VQF will present its first-ever juried exhibit, The Lake We Share:  Lake Champlain in History and Imagination.  From all entries submitted, the jurors will select approximately 40 quilts to hang at the 2009 Festival. The curators of this special exhibit are Donna Bister and Richard Cleveland.
