For the wanna-be quilter who has never sewn before. Skills taught will cover safety and equipment, sewing on a machine, straightline sewing, making your first block, and assembling a quilt block into a pillow. Limit 8

602 - QUILTING, ABOVE AND BEYOND, Level: Ages 7-12

For young quilters who want to grow in their skills. Skills taught will include: half-square triangles, flying geese units, triangle tricks, and block building skills. Students will build on their prior experience so they may head towards becoming independent quilters. Students will make two blocks and finish them into a tote bag. Limit 6

Supplies: 3/4 yard of favorite good quality fabric, several coordinating fat quarters in light, medium and dark values

603 - QUILT FINISHING FOR KIDS, Level:
Ages 7-12

Learn how to put your quilt blocks into a finished quilt. Students will learn how to put blocks together, layer a quilt together, simple machine quilting ideas, and 2 simple binding techniques. Students will work together to finish a baby quilt to be donated after the class and will each finish one block of their own into a small wall-hanging. Limit 8

Supplies: 1 - 12" block in any pattern or fabric which the student has sewn themselves and backing fabric to match
